Recently I had the opportunity to attend a comedy workshop developed by two-time Emmy award winning Louie Anderson and Kyle Cease, winner of the Comedy Central – Last Comic Standing.  It was an amazing two day event over the Mother’s Day weekend that was jam-packed full of so much information with a surprising amount of motivational as well as inspirational information too!  I have to say that it has been hands-down the best workshop I have been to in well over a year!!!  In fact it was just about every bit as good as the intensive MarBecca Method MC Workshop that I attended back in February 2009 in Las Vegas! 

When I signed up for this comedy workshop, I wasn’t really sure what to expect other than having an opportunity to work on my public speaking skills, which are useful as an MC as well.  A few of my friends from Upper Michigan and Minneapolis area attended the event back in March 2010, having nothing but the highest praises afterwards.  So signed up immediately for the same workshop in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in the hopes that I could come away from the experience with something I could use with my business.

All I can say now is that I am very glad that I took the leap of faith and went!  After spending two days with Louie and Kyle, listening to their incredible knowledge and experiences; I have a new found respect for them as entertainers and for stand-up comics in general.  It opened my eyes to more opportunities to practice my craft, hone my skills and open doors I was only vaguely aware of before.  Thanks to Kyle and Louie, I am now armed with more ideas and tools to improve the my level of service to my customers while realizing my vastly increased potential.

I also had the pleasure of meeting up-coming comedian, Steve Byrne.  He made a guest appearance at the workshop, shared some of his experiences as well as some pointers to what has worked for him.  I was very impressed with his story as well!

Kyle, Louie; thank you both very much again!  You guys rock!!!
